About
I am a marketing, communications, and strategy consultant based near Lyon, France. Born and raised in Western Australia, I earned undergraduate degrees in International Studies and Social Science at the University of South Australia before leaving for Europe to complete my postgraduate studies. My doctoral research was focused on the nexus of complexity theory, chaos theory, and international relations theory, and I earned my Ph.D. in 2010.
After some years as a professor and tertiary education administrator, I left academia to join a small technology startup and lead their content creation team. I would later work for a deep tech scale-up company, where I would be promoted quickly from thought leadership manager to company Vice President for Marketing. I left that company to launch my own consultancy in 2019, and I have been working independently ever since.
The majority of my clients are technology companies, including some in the biopharma industry. As a result, I have created a variety of short and long-form content for and about the industry, covered major partnering and industry events as a journalist, and regularly engage with biotech and pharma decision makers during the webinars I host.
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and running ultramarathons on roads and trails.
